Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Consultation Pros is a small, Sydney-based document preparation and administrative support service focused on helping members of the Lebanese and wider Arab communities understand and complete Australian legal documents. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Who we are
Consultation Pros is operated by a single practitioner based in Doonside, NSW 2767, Sydney. We provide administrative support, bilingual document preparation (Arabic, English, and French), and non-advisory consulting to help Lebanese and Arab community members navigate Australian legal document requirements. We are not a law firm, do not act as lawyers, and do not provide legal advice or representation.
You can contact us by email at maitrenada1126@gmail.com. Our usual business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Sydney time, and we will do our best to respond to your enquiry promptly.
Our commitment to your privacy
We understand that many of our clients and visitors come from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including Arabic-speaking community members. We aim to explain privacy in clear, friendly language and to respect your personal information, your culture, and your privacy expectations. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) when collecting, using, and storing your personal information.
What personal information we collect
When you use the contact forms on our website, we may collect the following personal information:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The content of your message or enquiry (including any information you choose to include about your situation)
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as information about your health, religion, or criminal history) through the website. If you choose to include sensitive information in your message, you do so voluntarily, and we will handle it carefully and in line with this Privacy Policy and the APPs.
Why we collect your information
We collect personal information you submit via our contact forms so that we can:
- Respond to your enquiry or request
- Understand what type of document preparation or administrative support you may need
- Arrange appointments or follow-up questions by email
- Prepare documents and supporting materials you ask us to help with
- Improve our services and communication with our community
We use this information only for the purposes described above or for closely related purposes that you would reasonably expect. We do not use your personal information to provide legal advice, and we do not act as your lawyer.
How we store your information
Our website is hosted on WordPress.com. When you submit a contact form, your information is stored on WordPress.com's servers and may also be delivered to us by email. WordPress.com is operated by Automattic Inc. and its related entities, which may store and process data on servers located outside Australia. These providers process your information on our behalf to help operate the website and do not use it to provide legal advice or independent services to you.
We take reasonable steps, consistent with our small business operations, to protect personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes limiting access to email accounts and website administration tools to the individual operator of Consultation Pros.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing or advertising. We do not otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties, except in the limited situations described below or where required or authorised by law.
We may disclose your personal information only in limited situations, for example:
- Where you have clearly asked us to share information with another person or organisation
- If required or authorised by Australian law, a court, or a government authority
If we ever need to share information for a purpose not described in this Privacy Policy, we will explain this to you and, where required, ask for your consent.
Overseas storage and transfers
Because our website is hosted by WordPress.com and related services, your personal information may be stored on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States or other countries where Automattic Inc. operates data centres. By using our website and submitting a contact form, you understand that your information may be transferred outside Australia.
Where your personal information is held overseas, we rely on WordPress.com's and Automattic's privacy and security practices. We encourage you to review WordPress.com's own privacy policy if you would like more detail on how they handle data.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if you believe it is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. To do this, please contact us by email at maitrenada1126@gmail.com.
We may need to confirm your identity before providing access or making corrections. In most cases, we will respond to your request within a reasonable time and in a way that is easy to understand. If we cannot provide access or make the correction you requested, we will explain why, in line with the APPs.
How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by Australian law. When personal information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it, for example by deleting old emails and form submissions.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses standard WordPress.com cookies and analytics tools to help operate the site, understand basic usage (such as which pages are visited), and improve the experience for visitors. This information is usually collected in an aggregated or anonymous form and does not directly identify you. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies if you prefer, although this may affect how some parts of the site work.
Emails and communications
When you contact us, we will usually respond by email. We may keep copies of our email communications with you so that we can understand your needs, follow up on your requests, and improve our services. We do not send bulk marketing emails to contacts collected through the website unless you have clearly agreed to receive them.
Children and young people
Our services are mainly designed for adults who need help with document preparation and administrative support. If you are under 18, we encourage you to involve a parent, guardian, or trusted adult when contacting us or sharing personal information.
Our role and limits of our service
Consultation Pros focuses on document preparation, translation support, and explaining processes in a culturally familiar way for Lebanese and Arab community members in Sydney. While the operator has legal education and experience overseas and Australian legal certifications, this service does not provide legal advice, does not represent you in legal matters, and does not act as a law firm. Any information you share is used to help with administrative and document-related tasks only, not to give legal advice.
Questions, concerns, or complaints
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, how we handle your personal information, or if you would like to make a complaint, please contact us by email at maitrenada1126@gmail.com. We will do our best to respond in a timely and respectful way, and we are happy to communicate in clear English or simple language that is easier to understand if English is not your first language.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to raise your concern with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), which oversees privacy laws in Australia. More information is available on the OAIC website.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, the law, or website technology. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page whenever you visit the site, so you understand how we handle your personal information.
